From Edmonton to Gaza

I recently released a set of five pins, a departure from the products and emotional well-being tools I’ve created in the past. This was something different, something necessary. It was something that spoke to the mother I am, to the mother I strive to be. I needed to create these pins to bridge the vast distance of motherhood that stretches from Edmonton to Gaza.

As I hold the Peace Pins in my hand, each one feels like a small but profound promise to the innocent children whose lives were needlessly lost to violence, whose spirit was ripped from the embrace of their mothers. These pins, with their simple watermelon design, have become an unexpected symbol of resilience—a quiet yet powerful form of expression born from the need to stand together, to say “we are here” without saying a word.

I created these pins not just as symbols of solidarity, but as a mother’s wish to make a difference, to reach across lands and seas and offer comfort where it’s needed most. That’s why I’ve pledged all net proceeds from these pins to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, because every child deserves a future filled with possibility, not uncertainty.

Each pin is a tiny testament to the strength of the human spirit, to our capacity for kindness and our shared hope for peace. They are reminders that even the smallest act of support can ripple outwards, touching lives and hearts in ways we might never fully know.

So, with every pin that finds a new home, a part of my spirit—a mother’s spirit—goes with it, carrying wishes of peace and well-being for children everywhere. Thank you for helping to carry this spirit forward, one pin at a time.
