Alberta Press is ONE!

As I celebrate the first anniversary of Alberta Press & Paper, it fills me with so much gratitude to reflect on the journey I’ve had over the past year. My personal growth, belief in myself, personal confidence, and commitment to something I believe in so much have made me realize a lot about who I am and my own capacity. Witnessing these dreamt-up products find homes in various corners of the world, from classrooms to child psychology offices, beautiful small shops throughout our city and even in a nursery in Dubai, to practicing daily mindfulness with my own two girls, has been nothing short of amazing.

The heart of my mission was to create accessible and effective tools that nurture young minds, empower caregivers, parents, and educators, and provide a safe space where mindfulness, mental health awareness, and love for oneself and others are spread. Where inclusion and empathy are encouraged, and differences are celebrated. To know that these products are contributing to the growth of so many young minds and hearts is a testament to the values I hold so deeply.

In the past 365 days, I’ve not only seen these products become a part of countless households but also observed the positive impact they've had on the mental well-being of many children and families. Receiving videos from parents of their kiddos practicing affirmations, journal entries from incredible kids, emails from parents spreading their stories and classrooms covered in our Growth Mindset posters - each moment has brought me immense joy. It fills my heart to think that, through Alberta Press, children and youth are reminded daily of their inherent value and importance. My hope is to have created space for littles and their caregivers to feel welcomed and loved for exactly who they are. Through what I try to put out into the world, the act of loving oneself and caring for one’s mental well-being is a powerful gift that kiddos are now giving to themselves each day.

As I welcome the new year, I remain committed to creating and sharing tools that foster personal growth, empathy, mindfulness and self-love. Thank you for being an integral part of my story -  here's to many more years of my small business hopefully making big changes.
